This presentation will introduce a short-term model of treatment incorporating solution-focused, rational emotive behavioral, and systems theory interventions for residential or intensive outpatient drug and alcohol treatment.
Educational Objectives:
- Definition of client population and presenting problems which are often not addressed in brief inpatient treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.
- Demonstration of appropriate use of interventions and treatment model.
- Increased understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of some of the more commonly used treatment models.
